Dome Delivery

The dome was delivered in sections, allowing it to fit into the back of a van.  It is a standard 2.2m Pulsar dome.

Ground Prep

A suitable space was marked and dug out.  The base is 2.4m diameter and 6" deep, with a central cube of concrete where the telescope will be mounted

Base

6mm plywood shuttering with a central area isolated from the circular base by insulation.   The central area finished at a volume of 75 x 75 x 55cm

Concrete

1m3 of concrete used to complete the base and left to harden for two weeks before any further work

Wiring

The electrical wiring was connected directly to the main consumer unit via a suitable RCBO device

Pier

Custom made locally,  it has 11mm wall thickness with 10mm base and fins and has opening at base to allow for internal routing of all wiring
